Trillium Delight

We were going to stay prone for the day after our weekend of frantic activity. But by mid-morning we were off for our annual trillium walk at Long Sault, the conservation area north of Bowmanville on the Oak Ridges Moraine. It is the best place to see them that we have ever found and it is only a few kilometres away.

This is one of our photos. It's amazing how the sight of this carpet of wild flowers lifted us from lethargy.

JYP(junior young people) camped out this weekend..and Grandpa Brian led us on a hike at Long Sault on this perfect spring Saturday morning. The kids who talked/sang/laughed so much throughout the walk, we wondered if they were even noticing their beautiful surroundings but alas they did, and were quite "overcome" with the blanket of trilliums...

Great picture on the bulletin board at the church of them all among the trilliums! They notice more than we think!
