And the Spirit immediately drove him out into the wilderness. He was in the wilderness forty days, tested by Satan, and he was with the wild beasts, and the angels waited on him.
Mark 1:12-13 NRSVue
One day the heavenly beings came to present themselves before the Lord, and the accuser also came among them. The Lord said to the accuser, “Where have you come from?” The accuser answered the Lord, “From going to and fro on the earth and from walking up and down on it.” The Lord said to the accuser, “Have you considered my servant Job? There is no one like him on the earth, a blameless and upright man who fears God and turns away from evil.”

I am approached about reviewing books within this Lion Lamb blog all the time -- at least once a week and more. It's obvious that in many instances the publisher's rep hasn't really figured out the nature of my blog but is required to go fishing for exposure.
Last week I got an email asking whether I would look at The Little Book of Satanism and possibly interview the author La Carmina. I'll admit that this request caught me off guard. For me as a Christian it's basically "God good, Satan bad", "Jesus good, Satan bad" -- end of story. It would be difficult to put a positive spin on any scriptural passages regarding the Prince of Darkness.
So what did I do. I invited the cheerful rep to send me a copy of the book and I will peruse it, even if I do so wearing asbestos gloves. I am curious, but is this a temptation I should have resisted? I'll let you know, God being my helper. Keep me in your prayers!

A Guide to history, culture and wisdom could be very interesting - and enlightening. Could dispel a lot of misinformation that has been fed to us over our lifetimes, too.
I'm waiting for the book to arrive and I hope I'm here to see who delivers it Judy!
